Install on Unraid
Add MovieClaw from the Unraid Docker tab with Add Container, field by field.
Last reviewed 2026-10-04
MovieClaw isn't in Unraid's Community Applications yet, so add it by hand with Add Container on the Docker tab. If you use the Docker Compose Manager plugin, you can also take the compose file from Install with Docker.
Step 1: Add the container
In the Unraid web UI, open the Docker tab, click Add Container at the bottom, switch to Advanced View in the top right, and fill in:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Name | movieclaw |
| Repository | movieclaw/movieclaw:latest |
| Network Type | Bridge |
| Extra Parameters | --init |
Step 2: Add the port, paths, and variables
Click "Add another Path, Port, Variable, Label or Device" and add each of these:
| Type | Container | Host | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Port | 3000 | 3000 | Web UI. If it's taken, change the host side |
| Path | /app/data | /mnt/user/appdata/movieclaw | All runtime data. Back this up |
| Path | /media | /mnt/user/media | Your media share |
| Path | /downloads | /mnt/user/downloads | Your download client's save folder |
| Variable | TZ | Europe/London | Your time zone |
Set the media and downloads paths to Read/Write. Importing and upgrades need to write files.
Step 3: Start it and open the web app
Click Apply and Unraid pulls the image and starts it. Go to http://<unraid-ip>:3000, create your admin account, and continue with First-time setup. When adding a library, use the container path /media.
Hardware transcoding
Intel iGPU: make sure /dev/dri exists on Unraid, then add a Device with the value /dev/dri. NVIDIA GPU: install the Nvidia Driver plugin first. See Hardware transcoding.
